BODYVERSE

Medical disclaimer

Last updated 29 Sept 2026

BODYVERSE is educational entertainment, not a medical product: what that means for the anatomy, the game mechanics and the health content.

Draft document — it will be reviewed by a lawyer before the app launches.

1. Educational entertainment only

BODYVERSE, including the mobile app, the website and its 3D atlas, is an educational entertainment product. Its content is designed to help you learn, in general terms, how the human body is built and how it works. It is not medical advice.

2. Not a medical device

BODYVERSE is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease or condition, and it does not replace a doctor or any other qualified health professional. If you have questions about your health, please ask one.

3. Game mechanics are not measurements

  • Character stats (Energy, Strength, Endurance, Flexibility, Recovery and Focus) are game attributes. They are not medical readings and say nothing about your own body.
  • Body Lab is a sandbox built on a simplified game model, not a simulation of human physiology. Its results do not predict how your body will respond to training, sleep or nutrition.
  • Levels, streaks, scores and rewards measure progress in the game, not your health or fitness.

4. About the anatomy

The 3D model is based on BodyParts3D, an open scientific database, but it has been simplified for a game:

  • Simplified shapes. Meshes use far fewer triangles than the source data, so some fine detail is smoothed out or lost.
  • Schematic structures. Some structures are not in the source data and were generated schematically from the surrounding anatomy: lung tissue, the thyroid gland, the spinal cord and the major peripheral nerves (the brachial plexus and the median, ulnar, radial, femoral, sciatic, tibial, common fibular, intercostal, vagus and phrenic nerves). They show approximate position and course, not exact anatomy.
  • Omissions. Hair is not modelled, the external genitalia are replaced by a neutral surface, and lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels are not shown.
  • One body. The model shows one neutral adult body. Real bodies vary in size, shape and proportions, and the position, size and branching of organs, vessels and nerves differ from person to person. This variation is normal.
  • Stylised visuals. Colours follow common atlas conventions rather than real life, and animations such as the heartbeat, breathing, blood flow and nerve signals are stylised illustrations, not real physiology.

5. Exercise, nutrition and sleep

Content about movement, breathing, sleep, nutrition, stress and recovery is general information for learning. It is not personal advice and does not take your health, fitness or medical history into account.

  • Consult a doctor or another qualified professional before changing your training, diet or sleep, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, are recovering from an injury or take medication.
  • If a mission suggests a movement or breathing exercise, do it at your own pace and only if it is safe for you.
  • Stop any activity that causes pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and seek medical advice if symptoms continue.

6. In an emergency

BODYVERSE cannot help in a medical emergency. If you or someone else needs urgent help, contact your local emergency services immediately.

7. Accuracy and review

Our anatomy and health texts are reviewed by an anatomy or sports physiology specialist before release. Even so, they simplify complex topics, and despite our care they may contain errors or become out of date as knowledge advances. If you are studying anatomy, medicine or sport science, use BODYVERSE alongside your course materials, not instead of them.

8. Reporting inaccuracies

If you spot something that looks wrong, please tell us at hello@bodyvers.click. Include the name of the structure or the text and what you think should change. We will review every report and correct the errors we confirm.

9. Relationship to our terms

This disclaimer forms part of our Terms of use.
