BODYVERSE for education: our plans for schools and universities

We are planning an Education licence for schools, colleges and universities, with a teacher dashboard, assignments built from missions and a kids mode with minimal data collection.

BODYVERSE is a game, but the body inside it is the same one students meet in biology, sport and medicine. The things that make it fun, such as short missions, a 3D model you can take apart layer by layer and a reason to come back every day, can also help people learn. That is why we are planning an Education licence alongside the Starter and Premium plans.

The mobile app is still in development, so everything below is a plan. Details may change before launch, and the licence will be priced on request.

Who it is for

  • Teachers of biology and science who want students to explore the body in 3D rather than on a flat diagram.
  • Coaches and sports educators who explain movement, breathing and recovery, and want a visual way to show which muscles and systems are involved.
  • Medical and health-science students who need a quick, visual way to revise anatomy, with 1,664 named structures to find and identify.

What the licence will include

  • Teacher dashboard. Create classes and groups and manage who is in them.
  • Assignments from missions. Choose missions and set them for a class, for example "Oxygen path" before a lesson on breathing or "Biomech" before a lesson on movement. Missions take 3 to 10 minutes, so they fit into a lesson or a homework slot.
  • Progress reports. See how a class, and each student in it, is getting on with their assignments.
  • Premium for every student. Students get the Premium features, including all body systems, the Body Lab sandbox and X-ray, slicing and exploded views.
  • Kids mode. A mode for students under 16 with minimal data collection (more on that below).
  • Contracts and invoices. Institutions will be able to buy the licence with a contract and an invoice.

Kids mode and data minimisation

BODYVERSE is rated 16+. Students under 16 will be able to use it only through their institution's Education licence, in kids mode.

Our privacy principles apply to everyone who plays, and kids mode will go further:

  • Only what is needed. We collect only what the account and progress need. Kids mode will restrict data collection further, to what a class needs to work.
  • Nothing sensitive without consent. No biometrics, health data, camera or location without separate, explicit consent. Any feature that uses the camera must ask for permission and explain why.
  • Analytics only with consent. No usage analytics unless consent has been given.
  • Game stats, not health data. Character stats such as Energy, Endurance or Recovery are game attributes. No student's body is measured.
  • GDPR-aligned. Our approach to data is designed to align with the GDPR.

One more point for coaches and teachers: BODYVERSE is educational entertainment, not a medical product. It does not diagnose, it is not a medical device and it does not replace a doctor. Body Lab shows a game model of how the body responds to training, sleep and nutrition, not real physiology.
